We are proud of our improvements in outcomes and especially that of our children who come from more disadvantaged backgrounds attain, as well as children from non-disadvantaged circumstances. We work tirelessly, as stated in our values, to ensure that no child is left behind. This was noted by Ofsted inspectors in our 2023 inspection, the report highlighted that “Teachers know how to support pupils to access the curriculum.” with all pupils having the same access to learning as their peers.

Our Ofsted Report
Beckfoot Thornton was last inspected in September 2023. We are incredibly proud to have achieved an overall effectiveness grade of ‘Good’. Inspectors noted that “The school has a mantra of ‘no child left behind’, and this is evident in the day-to-day experience of pupils.” and “The school has high expectations for pupils’ achievement. Leaders make sure that pupils experience a broad curriculum that enables them to learn important knowledge across a range of subjects.”
